Information About You

We collect several types of information on our Site. We collect "Personal Information," which is information that is used by Mid-Atlantic to identify you individually, such as your name and address. We also collect "Aggregate Information," which is information that does not contain Personal Information or from which Personal Information is removed. An example of Aggregate Information is information about use of our Site, such as pages visited on our Site. "Financial Information" means financial information collected during the online mortgage or loan application process. The information we collect depends on what services you use on our Site. The following is a more detailed explanation of these types of information as well as when and how we collect and use them.

Personal and Non-Personal Information

Email Services: If you provide us with your email address and opt in to any email notification features that Mid-Atlantic may now have or may develop in the future, you will receive email updates from Mid-Atlantic. Mid-Atlantic provides users the opportunity to opt out of receiving communications from Mid-Atlantic by replying to the email sent with the word "unsubscribe" as the subject line.

Order Forms: Our Site uses forms for you to request information, products and services and to submit resumes. We may collect financial information such as your mortgage amount on forms when you request certain information. If we do so, we may share this transactional information with other entities as is necessary to process your orders.

Surveys: From time to time, we may collect information through online surveys, questionnaires or information requests on our Site. These surveys may request demographic information (such as age range, gender, areas of interest) and customer feedback. Participation in these requests is completely voluntary and with each request you will have the choice of whether or not to disclose information. We may use such survey information to analyze our Site and to improve users' overall experience on our Site.

Administrative Purpose: We may collect and use information that identifies you personally when you submit comments, questions or suggestions through our Site. For example, if you submit questions to concierge@MidAtlanticBuilders.com or submit order forms we will use the information you provide to respond to you. We also may collect and use your information to contact you when necessary for administrative purposes related to your account or orders.

Resumes: If you submit your resume to us or complete a form related to a job opening on our Site, we may use the information to contact you, in our sole discretion, or we may store it in our files in a manner consistent with the way we store other information related to job applications.

Disclosure of Your Personal, Financial and Aggregate Information

Mid-Atlantic does not sell or disclose Personal Information without consent except as set forth below. We may disclose, or otherwise dispose of Personal Information we collect in the following circumstances:

Consultants: Occasionally, we may hire consultants that may need access to our customer database to perform their services for us, such as administering our mailing lists. We require that our vendors, consultants and contractors keep Personal Information confidential and use it only in accordance with the service agreement between Mid-Atlantic and such contractor, vendor or consultant.

If we do correlate any Aggregate Information to you, such information will be treated like any other personal information under this policy.

Cookies

We may make use of "cookies" on our Site. Cookies are small text files that are stored on a user's computer by a Web server based on the permissions set in a user's browser software. A cookie itself is not designed or intended to read any information from a user's computer (other than the contents of the cookie); rather, it is an identifier used by the Web site that originally placed it on your hard drive. The actual contents of the cookie information can be retrieved by the same server to identify the computer and subsequently to customize, monitor, or regulate the use of a site based on information stored in the cookie and the host server. Therefore, cookies only identify the user's computer to the Web site that may correlate other information, including personal information, with the cookie.

Cookies allow us to automate access and data entry functions of our Site such as login information, correlate online ordering information for purchases you may make while at the Site (if any), tailor the Site to your preferences or interests, or customize promotions or marketing. In addition, cookies allow us to track usage of the Site to determine which areas are useful or popular and which are not, thereby enabling us to improve and update the Site effectively.

Some portions of our site may use web beacons in conjunction with cookies to understand user behavior. A web beacon is an electronic image, called a single-pixel (1x1) or clear GIF. Web beacons can recognize certain types of information on a visitor's computer, such as a visitor's cookie number, time and date of a page view and a description of the page where the web beacon is placed. Some Web beacons may be unusable if you elect to reject their associated cookies.

You may adjust your Web browsers to either alert you of the use of cookies or refuse to accept cookies entirely. For Internet Explorer or AOL users, you can click on the "Start" button and then select Control Panel, Internet Options and the Security tab. If you click on the "Custom" button, you will be able to see the cookie options. For Netscape users, in the browser, select File, Preferences and then Advanced to view the cookie options. Be aware that if you elect not to accept cookies, some parts of the Site may not function properly or permit access.
